Early Life
Little is known about Oscar's history, and he doesn't take well to questions. It is believed that he ran a somewhat disreputable pub for several decades before being forced to close and relocate.
Oscar is brusque and quick to temper, and has been seen to shove and even take a swing at wrestlers who disrespect him. In general he prefers that everyone keep their beaks shut and get to work. While not exactly lenient, he has been accused of being unconcerned for the wrestlers he's officiating over. It's clear that he does not show favoritism however - he dislikes everyone equally.
Second Life and Wrestling
It's not clear why Oscar decided to become a referee. Some people think he's laying low - but in that case why go out to the ring and work in front of an audience?
He's generally fair as a referee, but shows little concern for the pain of submission moves or a wrestler who had a bit too much and is slow to leave the ring. His temper will rise if he is disrespected, including performing blatantly illegal moves. He's also very proud, frequently addressing criticism by referencing his "eagle eyes". As an older gryphon, however, it's not clear how well they actually see.
