After losing both of their parents at an early age, the twins were tossed around various foster homes before they ended up on the streets at the age of 14. Shadow was unwittingly a big reason as to why the twins were unable to find a suitable home. He was born with the inability to retract his claws, which created headaches for the multiple families the twins found themselves tossed in the middle of before each sent the orphans back to the orphanage. After Samantha’s cross with the Crimson Pirates, Shadow was also brought into the squadron. Whereas Samantha’s technical prowess and fighting ability made her a crucial asset, Shadow at first appeared to lack any such ability. However the Pirates soon found out that Shadow had the quick wit, and an even quicker tongue. His diplomacy and ability to maintain a cool head in tense situations soon stood out, and he started to work his way up the chain to Lieutenant. Shadow’s fighting prowess did not match that of his sisters, but that's not to say he could not fight. He was a wizard with new technologies of the time. Electrical systems that were just coming into being fascinated him, and his technical prowess made him a secret force to be reckoned with in engineering the systems of the Iron Cloud, the flying base of the Crimson Pirates. However when the Pirates were attacked by another band of pirates, Shadow was severely wounded after taking a bullet to the left shoulder. The incident was enough to make both of the Gehring twins decide to leave and jump to the modern day while they had the ability. In the modern day, Shadow’s technical prowess has expanded. He is one of the few who can easily translate Neon Shadow’s 'Leet' Speak, and understands AI, computer systems, and technological software like the back of his hand. After being dragged to a UFW event by his Sister, Shadow soon took a liking to the flashy shows, and found a place that he could once more put his communication skills to use. He joined the UFW Comms team on Nov. 28, 2022. Shadow aims to be neutral in his commentary style. He calls dirty moves as he sees them, and values fairness and wrestlers who go by the rules. He's not ignorant however, and understands the industry that he's working in.
